Abstract
Today | s businesses need to take environmental considerations into account when making decisions about production management. Because it is a necessity to investigate the possibilities of recycling and reusing the products produced in today | s conditions. Therefore, it is the primary responsibility of business managers to minimize the harm that the remaining waste from the production and unusable waste will give to the environment, and to plan the measures to be taken in advance.
In this study, it was aimed to determine the level of environmental awareness and green product awareness of the business managers, their participation in the related activities, and the problems they encounter in the environment. In order to provide data for the survey, face-to-face questionnaires were applied to 408 persons from business managers operating in Elazığ province. The obtained data were firstly frequency and percentage calculations, then t-test and f-test. According to the data obtained from the research, the environmental awareness of women is higher than that of men. As business managers | ages and work experience increase, environmental awareness also increases. It has been determined that managers who are members of non-governmental organizations and who receive environmental education are more sensitive to their surroundings.
